For the saltwater fly fisherman Los Roques offers a lot of variety. Main fish is the bonefish in sizes of 3-5 pounds on average and good chances to fish over 10 pounds, depending on the season and tides are added to fish species such as Tarpon and (huge) Permit. Bonefish, and this is one of the factors that makes Los Roques so special, can be caught in a variety of ways. Los Roques is a saltwater destination that can be visited all year round; High season is from January to May. Due to its location close to the equator you do not need hurricanes, which is another advantage.

Punta Allen Fishing Club is located about 50m from the beach. It has 5 rooms for guests and a large lounge where there is a bar and where guests have their meals. The managers themselves are avid saltwater fly fishermen, the lodge serves multicultural cuisine (including Mexican specialties). From November to March the lodge can accommodate 8 guests (3 double and 2 single), from April to July for 10 guests (3DZ, 2EZ and a suite with space for 2 fishermen or one family).When your passion is also fly fishing for snook in Mexico, go ahead.

“Mi casa es tu casa” is lived here par excellence and leads to a cozy atmosphere with a high feel-good factor.

The season is year-round (except August-October). Permit, Bonefish, and Tarpon as well as Snook, Jacks, Barracudas, Ladyfish and Snapper are catching throughout the season.

Two fishermen share a guide and a boat (panga); The Pangas are about 6m long, but despite their size very well suited for fishing from the boat. In front there is a big throwing platform for the angler, the guide pushes the boat raised from the stern. It is not only fishing from the boat, but also wading. All boats have sufficient engines, coolers, rod holders, etc. on board.
A normal fish day starts at 8 am and ends at 4 pm. Lunch is served during a break on the flats / mangroves, packed lunches are available from the lodge. The first flats are accessible from the lodge in about 10 minutes by boat.
