Michael Stalenhoef was born in 1964 in Badhoevedorp in North Holland and grew up in Amsterdam. Today, Michael lives in a unique place, living on a houseboat in Zaandam, on the banks of the Zaan River. He works as a professional and licensed fishing guide in the pike-perch Paradise of Amsterdam. His passion is pike-perch fishing in Netherlands.

Michael’s grandmother had the ability to tell exciting and compelling fishing stories from his grandfather. Then he made his first attempts with his own hands: At the age of only six he caught his first fish in the canals of Amsterdam. After that, there was no stopping Michael and he came in contact with the serious sport fishing early.

Today, many years later, a high-tech fishing boat, an Alumacraft Competitor 165 Tiller, parks in front of his houseboat. So, as a fishing guide, he can quickly be ready to go out fishing anytime, anywhere.
